About the department
The Supply Chain Development department is based in the global Supply Chain area under Product Supply. The department is a centre of excellence responsible for overall supply chain design principles, strategy deployment, analytics and data management. We are supporting the full supply chain with various types of projects ranging from smaller MVPs within machine learning to larger end-to-end supply chain programmes.

The position
The ideal candidate will have a solid hands-on experience from a previous operational supply chain position combined with a progression into a project manager- or global supply chain planner role. In this position your role will be responsible for analytics deliverables in larger supply chain projects.

You will,

  • Work as an analytics consultant and develop data driven recommendations based on your analyses
  • Translate complex business opportunities into concrete solutions or recommendations by using a structured problem-solving approach
  • Define and drive development of analytics solutions from data & modelling to visualisation & anchoring

To give a concrete example of a task, you could find yourself in a bigger supply chain project responsible for delivering a future warehouse strategy. You will be responsible for defining and driving the analysis work needed, such as estimating future product flows based on demand forecasts and simulate the impact of different strategies such as central warehousing vs. regional distribution centres. You will calculate how different scenarios impacts overall distribution and warehousing cost, CO2 emissions, responsiveness and resilience in the supply chain.

Based on your ability to quickly understand the business requirements you will work in sprints in a small, focused delivery team to develop the needed data sets and analytics solutions, and collaborate with data developers and supply chain analysts from the Analytics & Data mgmt. team, when needed. This will allow you to support the senior project manager with solid analysis work and reporting relevant metrics which can be anchored into line of business afterwards.

You have completed a Master’s degree e.g. in Supply chain management, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or similar with excellent results. You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience from a hands-on supply chain position e.g. as supply chain planner with progression to a senior role. You have a natural flair for data, analytics and math combined with a solid supply chain understanding. Preferably you have experience with BI self-service tools such as Alteryx & Tableau. You have experience from running smaller projects and ideally you have experience from agile frameworks such as SAFe.

You are known for your strong drive, ability to create results, focus on details, strong analytical skills and you have an international mind-set. You have excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills and you communicate clearly and concisely. You can adapt your approach quickly depending on the situation as you will work and communicate with people from across with organisation from operators to senior management. Finally, you are fluent in English.
