About the department
In Novo Nordisk Quality Business Intelligence we are responsible for providing intuitive, reliable, and easily accessible insights on quality performance in Novo Nordisk. Our team is a group of engaged and ambitious colleagues based in head quarter in Bagsværd, Denmark, supported by our Global Service Center in India. We are part of the global Quality Executive Office supporting Quality Management and the Quality organisation across Novo Nordisk.

The position
We offer an exciting and challenging data engineer position. You will operate in a complex data environment and collaborate with competent colleagues within the unit and across the entire Novo Nordisk value chain. You will contribute to optimising and developing the global quality data foundation to meet business needs for reporting, analysis, and advanced analytics.

Specifically, you will work with optimisation of our current self-service solutions for business insights in Alteryx and Tableau. Further, you will be part of developing our new cloud-based data architecture using Amazon Web Services (AWS) with expected implementation in the beginning of 2021. This includes establishment of new data models and a robust ingestion of data from diverse source systems to the new solution.

Your continuous development is important to us and we will ensure training and individual development plans to support you in your personal and professional development.

Qualifications
You have a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar field. In addition, you have deep insights into and hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server) and with programming (e.g., using JAVA, Python, or R). Ideally you also have hands on-experience in working with Alteryx and Tableau.

You are visionary and want to help bring best practices within data engineering from other industries into the team. You have a passion for understanding other data technologies than relational databases (e.g., NoSQL and graph databases). Preferably you also have specific knowledge about AWS cloud technologies.

It is an advantage if you have experience in working with quality processes and metrics within the pharmaceutical industry.

As a person you are a strong team player who can collaborate well with a diverse group of stakeholders. You have a strong business understanding and can challenge existing ways of working while proactively driving implementation of new solutions. You are known for your can-do attitude and have a high level of engagement and persistency.
