ROCKWOOL International is currently looking for a Student Assistant within our global Digital Relations organization to be based in our HQ in Hedehusene, Denmark. In Digital Relations we among other have the responsibility to secure a continuous development, overview and execution of our Investment and Project Portfolio. The function is anchored as part of the IT PMO and Portfolio Area overseeing Governance Processes, Project Portfolio Management, Project Initiation and Execution as well as guidance and support for Project Excellence principles across various disciplines. We support Digital and Business Leadership in decision making as well as relevant stakeholders and project managers. Our approach is structured and data driven support combined with context understanding and support finding solutions for how to best drive our important projects and portfolios forward and obtain desired outcomes and value.

This is the role

You can expect to work 15-20 hours per week. Whilst we will remain flexible to accommodate the working hours to your studies, we will also expect you to be able to support during times with stringent company deadlines.

In this role you will primarily be supporting our Portfolio Management for Digital Investment and Project Portfolio Management, but you could also be tasked with support for larger programs setting up analysis or smaller analytical projects.

The area of responsibility includes (examples):

  • Understand and get overview of Investment and Project Portfolio data sources
  • Setup BI & Analytics on these data sources via Power BI
  • Create maintainable reports and overview of portfolio’s
  • Automate data load and cleansing where possible
  • Additional ad-hoc analysis and tasks related to above

You will contribute to the continuing development of our global digital portfolio oversight and reporting and will get the opportunity to have an impact in a dynamic department. You can anticipate a good deal of responsibility in this position.

We will be able to offer you on the job training to help support your studies with relevant experience whilst giving you the independence to work autonomously. And we will open the world for you on Project Portfolio Management and related that not only is applicable in a Digital context but in general project context as well.

Professional qualifications

You are in the middle of your Bachelor or just started your Master’s studies. Your studies will have a financial and or digital angle (e.g. BSc or Cand.Merc or similar).

We expect that you have in dept knowledge with PowerBI and MS Excel on a more advanced level.

Additionally, we make extensive use of different IT systems, among other Microsoft Project Online, so it is expected that you have a natural interest in working with these, and are able to adapt to new IT systems with ease.

Proficient skills in English is required.

Finally, previous experience working in a Digital or Finance organization, either through previous work experience or volunteer work will be an advantage.

  • Strong skills and experience in working with Excel and PowerBi, from structuring datasets to clearly illustrating the outcome of your data analysis with graphs, tables, comments, assumptions etc.
