About you / Building mission-critical ML applications
We are looking for a passionate, self-driven and ambitious Data Scientist who has experience with building mission-critical machine learning applications. You will have a unique opportunity to make a huge impact on the bottom line through the design and implementation of cutting-edge data products. The ideal candidate will have a strong modeling aptitude and bring the following skills:
- A strong educational background in Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics or a related technical field.
- Demonstrable Python programming expertise and a good grasp of programming concepts.
- Strong working knowledge of machine learning algorithms in general.
- You are well-versed in the art of building deep learning models with proficiency in TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Understanding of spoken Danish.
About the role / Put your expertise into play and make an impact
As our new Data Scientist, you will be part of the Customer & Claims Analytics data science team, where you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling machine learning algorithms for processing and analyzing large streams of data in real-time. The team’s core mission is to continuously improve every customer’s relationship with Tryg by leveraging our data to make relevant and timely content, product and claim recommendations. Individuals on the team are highly motivated and laser-focused on building new value-creating data products.
Our technology stack includes Azure, Kafka, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes and Python. On this platform, the team develops machine learning models exposed through APIs, builds feature tables for production systems and designs experiments for detecting causal patterns. The work we do directly benefits our customers through Tryg’s various business units, and we always measure impact with scientific methods. An important part of the job is to communicate directly with our business stakeholders by presenting insights that will shape and optimize our decision-making process.
